1Ki 6:1-4 The Building of Solomon's Temple.

The dimensions of Solomon's temple are described in terms of cubits, which were measured according to an earlier standard that was a handbreadth longer than the common cubit used later.

The porch, or portico, extended across the entire front of the temple (see 2 Chronicles 3:4).

The windows were designed with lattices that could be opened and closed at will. This allowed for ventilation to remove the vapor from lamps and the smoke from frankincense, while also providing light.
