Open tools for the Church

Free, practical tools and systems designed to help churches of all sizes share the Word clearly and faithfully — without unnecessary cost or complexity.

Open Practical Accessible

Guiding commitment
Everything in this section is built to be understandable, reproducible, and freely shared — so churches can focus on ministry, not infrastructure.
A shared vision
Larger, established churches can support this work by funding or donating materials, enabling smaller congregations to build the same systems without financial strain.
Why Open Ministry Projects exist

The Modern Pastor’s Version began as a translation project, but it quickly became clear that many churches face challenges beyond access to Scripture itself.

Small churches and church plants often lack the resources, technical staff, or budgets to adopt modern tools — even when those tools would significantly improve teaching, worship, and outreach.

Open Ministry Projects exist to remove those barriers by providing clear plans, simple systems, and freely available resources that churches can adopt at their own pace.

Design principles
Open Shared plans, docs, and code when possible.
Practical Built with common tools and parts.
Affordable Minimize cost without cutting corners.
Accessible Clear enough for volunteers to maintain.
