The MPV is released under the following open license:
Modern Pastor’s Version (MPV) Open License — Draft 1.0 Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of the MPV Bible text (“the Text”), to use the Text without restriction, including without limitation the rights to read, copy, quote, merge, publish, distribute, adapt, sublicense, and/or sell works derived from the Text, subject to the following conditions: 1. Attribution is recommended but not required. If attribution is given, it should reference: “Modern Pastor’s Version (MPV).” 2. If the Text is modified or adapted, reasonable steps must be taken to make it clear that the resulting work is not the unmodified MPV. 3. The Text may not be used to misrepresent Scripture or to promote teachings presented as the MPV that contradict the historic Christian faith. 4. 7. Future Revisions
As the MPV matures, this license may be clarified to ensure it remains simple, generous, and church-friendly. Any future revisions to this license will always protect your freedom to read, share, quote, and use the MPV in ministry.
